 Speaker: Dan SchoepfWeekend: March 25-26, 2006 Scripture: Matthew 6:25-34 listen to the message read the weekend program “Ninety percent of what you worry about never happens!” It works, doesn’t it! Did you wake up last night with a “concern” that a combination of darkness and your frustration with sleeplessness just seemed to magnify? You were worrying! And that concern was likely very petty compared to issues like paying bills, retirement, cancer, or where the next meal is coming from. We end up being consumed by the desire to keep our personal earthly life secure. It is no coincidence that Jesus connects teaching about money to this subject of worry. He clearly trashes this Christian pastime and offers a substitute. |
