To the ends of the earth....what is that all about? How does it work? Have you ever wondered what it means when we talk about "supporting" missionaries here at Calvary?
Andy & Kendall are here to help answer some of these questions and show us what it means to support their ministry in Senegal, West Africa. Join us this weekend as we look across the ocean and see what God is doing through the Emmerts and their partners at Mission: Moving Mountains.

“You’re not listening to me!” That phrase has become a common part of our society—in a marriage, with the family, in the workplace. And it often reveals a sense of frustration by the petitioner.
But when we make that claim about God, who is supposed to hear everything, aren’t we taking the complaint to a whole new level? Perhaps. But it just seems that we are looking at the back of God’s head. And it is not a pleasant view!

Almost every week in worship I have a moment (or more) when my mind went somewhere. Somewhere other than the prayer or the song or the scripture. And I am supposed to be leading!
Let me suggest that at those times my worship becomes just “hocus pocus.” Actually that phrase has an interesting origin relating to the communion service, especially the phrase, “this is my body.”
When we confess, when we take the bread, when we drink the cup are our hearts in it? Or are we simply speaking and acting out nonsense? |

God has blessed us so we can bless others. What does that really mean for us here at Calvary?
And when it comes to “connecting people with God,” how do we pull that off for cultures beyond ours?
The Holy Spirit is constantly nudging each follower of Jesus to take another step. What might that be for us as a church? Could it involve Liberia? More importantly, what might that be for you alone? Feel a nudge? Take the step! |
