listen to the message Times had become chaotic and rebellious. The people God related to the most had forgotten about all the things He had done for them. They were continually and perpetually breaking the covenants God had made with them. So along came the prophets. The story of the Bible is filled with them. These guys were the lightning rods of society. They spoke harsh words. They brought messages to the people from God. Their primary theme was an invitation—an invitation to return to Yahweh. |
