Anger is at the core of murder. Coveting is at the core of adultery. At least that is what Jesus said! And he said we are guilty of these things!
When Jesus taught the people gathered on the side of the mountain in Matthew 5-7, he made a major point. He emphasized the importance of what is on the inside over what is on the outside, the importance of relationships over rules. So he addressed the “lustful look,” the “look with a purpose.” Do you have some wandering eye problems? The consequence of such an ogle is so serious that Jesus counseled radical steps to avoid it!
Are you wanting someone you don’t have? This is not just instruction for porno-starved men. This is for men and women who want to deepen the relationship that really matters.
