Exodus 12. It is the story of the original Passover, an event celebrated by the Jews to this day. Try to imagine what that was like.

What impression do you have of the whole sacrificial system in the Old Testament? As best you can, take yourself back to that time and let your imagination run. What impact do you think animal sacrifices had on the family—especially younger children?

In our society we try to shield people from blood—crime scene tape, draped bodies, even movie ratings. Why do you think the spilling of blood was so necessary a part of this practice?
