listen to the message The tomb was empty—proof that the prophecies about the resurrection were fulfilled. Jesus had claimed on more than one occasion that the grave could not hold him. The tomb was empty-and Jesus was nowhere to be found. That’s because he had some important appointments to keep that would encourage his disciples and prove to us 2,000 years later that Jesus was alive. The tomb was empty-and that gives us something to cheer about. It means we can have victory over our sin, and victory over death. And it means we have something incredible to look forward to when we get our own resurrection bodies. |
