I do not personally enjoy a position of brokenness. I don’t like circumstances that crush me. But it turns out that’s exactly where I get closest to the God I desire!

What does "brokenness" really mean? What are the barriers that keep me from getting to that spot (actually I think there is really only one)? And am I really being honest about what I see in the mirror?

We all tend to respond to the "holiness of God" differently. In the Bible when people were in the direct presence of God their reactions were very similar—"I can’t really handle this very long!"

In our process of "pressing on to know the Lord" we find the issues stretch us before they become refreshing. Holiness sends us into despair before we can be wrapped in grace.

To receive a downpour from God we first need to be honest about who God is and who we are, where God is and where we are. Frankly, we can’t handle all God’s holiness, so He remains a mystery and deserves all the sincere worship we can muster.

Your life can be described with a graph. Yes, it has its ups and downs. But where is it headed right now?

Many people would picture their present condition as drought, thirst, passionless, emptiness. As a community of people who follow Jesus we want to provide the atmosphere that will encourage a fresh and overwhelming connection with our God! Just as He promised to the nation of Israel, "He will come to us like the rain."

Is your spirit in need of a good soaking? Will you come along?

We all know the power that a good story can have, whether it be a book you can’t put down or the movie that makes you cry.

There are elements to every good story. And great power is there when we recognize the story God wants to tell through each of our lives. When God writes a story, it is not without conflict, tension, and suffering.

What is waiting to be seen is if we are going to let God write our story and fill it with meaning and purpose, or if we will take over control of the pen.
