Spinning the plates and multitasking is never more essential than at Christmas. We need to show up for parties and family gatherings at the right time with the right spirit and with the right gifts. And it takes courage! But what if we are experiencing loneliness, betrayal, or the loss of someone close? The whole world was actually in that position when Jesus was born! And he got this name “Immanuel” which means “God with us.” So, how much is God really with us? And in what sense can we survive loneliness by being “God” to another who is more lonely than I? |
