Sex is important and powerful.  And it seems God rigged it that way!

The boundaries are clear, but within the boundaries there is complete freedom.  Wow!  Can we really talk about this in church?  Can we really find out if we’re “playing well” and maybe even improve?  You bet!

NOTE:  The content of the teaching this weekend would not be appropriate for children 5th grade and under.  KidZone is provided regularly on Saturday nights.  Alternative programming is also being provided this weekend for children in that age group for the Sunday, 9 am, service.  Please check them in at the KidZone gazebo.

Conflict is a part of life.  It is a part of marriage.  If I am connected with people in some way, I will experience conflict!  Frankly, even when we get the communication part right we still fight.

So . . . with all the experience we have with blow-ups, one would think we’d be better at coping.  But sometimes it just deteriorates, badly.

God has some simple stuff to say about how to avoid letting arguments go quickly down that slippery slope.  Take note!

Ninety percent of all people who live in the United States will marry at least once in their lifetime.  But nearly half of the marriages beginning this year will end in separation or divorce.  Is there any way to reduce that alarming statistic?  Are there ways to increase the rate of success on the front end?

God designed marriage with clear purposes in mind, and guess what?  He has some input for the “choosing” process.  There are people in my life who will be “taking the plunge.”  What counsel can we offer them ahead of time?

This weekend, we also celebrated Andy's 10th Anniversary as Calvary's Worship Pastor.  Here is a video to commemorate the time:

To end the Sunday service, Andy's boys surprised him with their rendition of "Open the Eyes of My Heart."

Talk of the resurrection usually happens at a memorial service or during a visit to the cemetery.  And we living, breathing creatures develop this far off look, like we’re thinking of something way down the road, something almost irrelevant for this life.  “I’ve heard it has to do with heaven, out there, someday.”

Nothing could be further from the truth.  The fact that Jesus is alive in his body has an impact on my life today!

Do you believe the Easter story?  So what?
