Marriage and Family Series Begins This Weekend

Sounds like a broad subject. It is! There is nothing quite so "close to home". Whether you’re not yet married, never married, newly married, forever married, married again, no kids, many kids, kids are gone, you’ll find something valuable in these weekends.

Yes, the resurrection is not just about the future, it is about the here and now! And what a great chance to celebrate the victory of Jesus over the grave! A total of 1693 were here for services last weekend. That includes the kids and 200 visitors! We are still processing the responses. Pray that God will continue to show us how to "bring a bit of heaven to earth" in our own world.

This weekend, March 29-30, we will conclude the services with a brief announcement and gift presentation to celebrate the Landers being here ten years! We will follow with treats and a reception in the Commons. As a reminder, we’d like to bless them with a cash gift and a card shower. If you’d like to participate in the gift please give to the general fund and note the designation on the outside of your giving envelope. And bring your cards.
Remember, keep it quiet for a couple more days!

Every so often as a part our teaching for kids we include a "salvation weekend." This last month when that truth was presented, ten children in two different classes came to know Jesus as their forgiver and friend. I am glad for the crew of people who realize that what we think of kids is an indicator of what we think of Jesus. He said, "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me" (Mark 9:37).

The storyteller show is a great way to watch Kutless perform in a more personal environment and be able to hear the life stories behind the songs. Kutless (www.kutless.com) will be joined by Esterlyn (www.esterlyn.com) & Chris Taylor when they come to our auditorium on Wednesday, April 9 at 7pm.
