"I got to talk to Hoppi for a minute last night, all is going well and he said the church on Sunday was awesome! He said it really touched his heart to see that many people pray for the team! He was amazed. He said it is warm and sunny. That's about all he had time for last night.

"I also heard from James. He got one of the rooms without air conditioning. He said it was 87 degrees in his room at about 6:30. He tried to call me, but I couldn't hear him at all. Only worse thing than not getting a phone call at all is to get one and not be able to talk.

"Tim just called. This morning they drove from their hotel in Champerico and have now arrived in the village! He said the drive is about 30 minutes on VERY bumpy dirt roads. He said they will send a full report sometime tonight.

 The team will be working approximately 5 miles from Champerico in a village named La Gomera. Travel time will be only around 15 minutes or so, allowing for a great deal of time in the village each day before returning to the hotel.
The team consists of a construction crew, medical crew, dental crew, swing team crew, and a drama team. The swing team will be cutting hair, doing balloon animals and working with the kids in the school.

Well, several people have had contact with the team today. Here are some of the notes received:

Lonnie said the trip to the hotel took awhile. He also said some are already having stomach issues and asked for preyer for that. He mentioned how very different things are, but that all seems to be goig well. They were settling in to the hotel ok and were anxious to start their work tomorrow.

"Just talked to Tim. They will be sending you an e-mail later tonight. They had an awesome time at the church at Mazatenango. After that, they headed to Champerico. The hotel rooms weren't ready for them, so they went to the beach. Tim said the beach is great, the water is warm. They had lunch and then got to the hotel and had some time to relax and check out the pool. Three of the rooms do not have air-conditioning, but it cools off well at night. They had just finished a meeting to plan things for tomorrow. Tim said everyone is in good health.

 On Sunday, the team will head for Mazatenango to attend worship services in the morning.
In the afternoon, they will proceed to Champerico, on the coast, to settle in at the La Posada Del Mar Hotel for their week's stay.
